Our Six Art Workshops

Calligraphy
Learn how to write beautiful words in Hangul 한글, the Korean alphabet, using traditional brush calligraphy.
Whether it’s your name, a wish, or a word that inspires you — our volunteers will help you bring it to life on paper.

Minhwa
Try your hand at this colorful, symbolic art form that once decorated everyday life.
Choose from classic motifs like tigers, peonies, or lucky fish and take home your own mini artwork.

Mask Colouring
Decorate a Hahoetal,
Korea’s iconic traditional mask, used in storytelling and satire.
Use traditional colors or modern twists to express your own character.

Fan Painting
Design your own buchae 부채, the traditional Korean fan, using brushes and colors inspired by nature, patterns, and symbols.
Once used to stay cool and make a statement, these fans are now beautiful cultural keepsakes.

Knot Making
Learn the basics of maedeup,
매듭
a traditional form of decorative knotting used in hanbok, jewellery, and home crafts.
Leave with a finished knot charm key ring!

Spinning Top

paengi 팽이

This fun activity combines creativity with play, letting you personalize a classic Korean toy.
