About the event
Korean Culture Class : Discover Busan Like a Local

Culture, Stories & Travel Tips from a Busan Native
Busan is now one of Korea’s most loved travel destinations, attracting visitors with its beaches, food, markets, and lively coastal atmosphere. But there is another side of Busan that is harder to find in guidebooks — the everyday places, local stories, and small details that give the city its unique character.
In this workshop, a Busan native will share the city from a local perspective, introducing not only where to go, but also why those places matter and how to enjoy Busan in a more personal and memorable way.
What We’ll Explore
Busan Through a Local’s Eyes : What makes Busan feel different from Seoul? Discover the city’s distinctive atmosphere, seaside lifestyle, local identity, and the character of its people.
Places You Shouldn’t Miss — and Why : Explore beaches, markets, neighbourhoods, temples, viewpoints, and lesser-known corners of the city that a Busan local would actually recommend.
Stories Behind the Places : Learn about the history, memories, films, local culture, and everyday stories connected to some of Busan’s most interesting places.
Eat Like a Local : Discover Busan specialities such as dwaeji gukbap, seafood, milmyeon, street food, and the foods locals associate with different parts of the city.
Busan Travel Tips from a Local : Where should you go for the best sea views? Which places are worth visiting at sunset? What should you eat in different neighbourhoods? And what small things should visitors know before travelling to Busan?
Let’s Talk About Your Busan Trip
Throughout the workshop, you’ll also have opportunities to share what kind of traveller you are, discuss the places you would most like to visit, and imagine your own trip to Busan.
By the end of the session, you won’t just know where to go in Busan — you’ll have a better sense of how to experience the city like someone who knows it well.
